Did You Know

Did you know? Lake Eyre in South Australia, usually a vast dry salt flat, occasionally fills with water, turning into Australia’s largest lake. When it floods, something magical happens—the long, straight roads around the lake start to look like they're floating on water! This surreal "floating road" effect happens because of the way the saltwater reflects the sky, creating a perfect mirror. It’s an incredible sight, but it only happens every few years when heavy rains flow down from Queensland, so catching it is a rare experience.
