Blue Banded Bee’s Spotted 🐝
Check out this incredible shot of two sleeping Blue-Banded Bees, captured by Reddit user CPMAR111 at Onkaparinga Gorge!
Unlike most bees, these little guys don’t nest together. Instead, they sleep solo, clinging to twigs or leaves with their strong jaws. As night falls, you might find them hanging from branches, their legs and wings fully relaxed. It’s a interesting sleeping style that keeps them safe from predators and ready to take off at first light.
