Last week Adelaide was absolutely packed with events! Pretty sure everyone was spoiled for choice. This week's a bit quieter than usual (probably a good thing for our wallets), but don't worry - the weekend is always busy. Keep an eye out for Thursday's edition for all the events!

Did You Know🤔

We've got bragging rights for the longest straight stretch of railway track in the world! No curves, no bends, just 478km of dead-straight track cutting through the Nullarbor Plain. Built between 1907 and 1912, this absolute beast was a nightmare to construct - imagine working in scorching heat with no shade and barely any water, hauling in massive amounts of steel from NSW (they even had to build a special jetty in Port Augusta just to unload the stuff!). These days, the Indian Pacific train cruises this record-breaking stretch at 115km/h, giving passengers plenty of time to wrap their heads around the fact they're riding on the longest straight railway line on the entire planet.

Super Hornet🛩️

An F/A-18F Super Hornet made an appearance at the Adelaide 500 last weekend!

Quck Fact these bad boys can hit speeds over Mach 1.8 (that's about 2,200 km/h!) and can carry pretty much any weapon in the US Navy's arsenal.

Say goodbye to Wang Wang and Fu Ni as they boarded their plane back to China last Friday, I’m sure we will all miss seeing them in the Adelaide Zoo.
