Hey South Australians 👋

In the last newsletter I asked if you wanted a weather segment in the Adelaide Insider. Out of 76 votes, 71% of you voted yes, saying it will be handy for planning ahead. However, I also had a lot of feedback from people who voted no, saying the weather is very easily found on their phone or with a quick Google search.

These are good points, and I think it makes sense; the weather is easily found elsewhere, and it would only take up space where there could be other, better segments.

I'm going to leave the weather segment out for now, but I will include a poll at the end of this email, and if anyone disagrees, I will be more than willing to include it back in.

Hidden in the ancient rocks of the Flinders Ranges are the Ediacaran fossils - Earth's oldest known examples of complex life, dating back 550 million years! These mysterious creatures were so important that scientists named an entire geological period after our state. Discovered in 1946 by Reg Sprigg, these fossils show weird and wonderful organisms that look nothing like modern life - imagine a cross between a leaf, a jellyfish, and an alien. Talk about putting South Australia on the map.
