Lunar Occultation of Spica

On Wednesday, December 25th, the Moon will glide in front of Spica, the brightest star in the Virgo constellation. This rare event, called a lunar occultation, will create the illusion of Spica momentarily vanishing behind the Moon.

Timing (Adelaide Time):

• Starts: 4:32am

• Ends: 9:08am

Even if the occultation isn't visible, the Moon and Spica will dance closely in the night sky—so it's still worth a peek!

Space Cybersecurity Hub Lands in SA 🌌

South Australia will host the first international Space ISAC hub, positioning the state as a global leader in space cybersecurity. The hub will bring public and private sectors together to tackle cyber threats.
